September Chicago Dreamweaver Meetup Wrap-up

On Tuesday, September 9th, I attended the Chicago Dreamweaver Meetup. The presenter this evening was Michael Tanimura from Silver Image Creative. The topic was “How To Write a Winning Website Proposal.” Michael provided sound advice from his many years of experience with his over 15 years of experience. He also provided an example as a take away for all attendees.

Michael also related good proposals to the web design workflow discussed in the book Web Redesign 2.0 – Workflow That Works by Kelly Goto and Emily Cotler. Several attendees were followers of this bible, especially important reading to the self-employed freelancer, who might easily fall into sloppy project praactices.

The 2-hour meetup culminated with a Q&A session that was fruitful and informative.

Many thanks to Michael for a great presentation and kudos to Chicago Dreamweaver Meetup Organizer Stephen Starr from Stephen Starr Design for a wonderful choice in presenters and topics. It was, in my opinion, one of the best meetups yet.

On tap for next month: Web hosting and all related topics. Should be another stellar meetup.
