As Jeffrey Zeldman’s “A List Apart” celebrates it’s 10 anniversary, the online publication shows once again that it is as relevant today as it was in the late ’90′s.
The most recent article supports this. “Understanding Progressive Enhancement” is a fantastic primer on the seperation of content, presentation and interactivity. It helps place the proper focus on how to layer when developing online content and experiences. Most invigorating is that this is the first in an upcoming series. Looking forward to more from author Aaron Gustafson.
Seems like I’ve experienced several customer service blips recently. Here’s my latest.
While I was working away on my computer one day, my Internet connectivity disappeared. Now this is a normal occurrence, as I often have to kick start my wireless router. However, this was not the case today, as I saw the lights on my cable modem blinking in odd patterns. I first tried resetting the modem by unplugging for 30 seconds, then replugging the modem to the electrical power. This did no good. So I contacted my provider’s support line to see if there was an outage in my area.
Kim, the organizer of the Chicago Web Analytics Meetup, offered me the role of Asst. Organizer, which I gladly accepted. Web Analytics goes hand-in-hand with web design, user experience, usability, and search engine optimization (SEO), all of which I am interested.
I sent out invitations to some polls to gather information on most convenient locations, day & time for future meet-ups. Looking forward to getting the ball rolling in September.
If you’re in the Chicagoland area and have any interest in Web Analytics, and looking to network with like-minded people, join this meetup by clicking the link to the right and create your profile.
I look forward to our first meetup in September.
